Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd
Speaking of Dumb and Dumber, did you know…
After the guys pull the bill-paying stunt on Sea Bass, Harry asks Lloyd where he got that idea. Lloyd tells him that he saw it in a movie. This is a reference to the movie Something Wild (1986) in which Jeff Daniels does the same thing to Ray Liotta.

Oh my goodness, there are many, many more that could be added to this list. National Lampoon’s European Vacation and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier come to mind right off the top of my head. Let’s not even discuss remakes! (Arthur (?)…why mess with a classic!?!)

So true, Linda. I wanted to keep this one concise as the list could go on and on but thank you very much for your feedback. Looking forward to more of your posts =)

Agreed! Movie producers should stop being greedy and stop after “Part 2″ – at the most

The only one I disagree on is Godfather because I LOVED those – amazing acting!

LOL I meant sequels which proved a third would not be necessary as the second parts were incredible are Terminator 2, Godfather Part 2, Spider-Man, Blade 2 and Mad Max: The Road Warrior. All of these part two’s are amazing I agree 8)

Got you! I hate part 3′s. STOP while you’re ahead!!!

So true! It is a shame when the studios only care about money and piggyback off the success of the first two films.

Amen!

I actually agree with this list except for superman quest for peace, i mean of course it was weaker then all the ones before it but it did have some substance as far as were the whole nuclear stand point was, i mean who wouldn’t have wanted him to get rid of them if he really existed -,o

Haha I love this post! It is the worst when they make unnecessary, awful sequels!
February 25, 2012 at 12:29 AM
Indeed it is. Thanks very much for your feedback, Andrea.

I liked Jurassic Park 3! It was way better than the second one!

There is talk of a part IV as well. Although the first one was most successful, both critically and commercially.
March 4, 2012 at 1:57 AM
Really? I wouldn’t have thought they’d be thinking of doing a fourth. I think that is too far. Yes, of course the first was the most successful. I did enjoy the third almost as much as I enjoyed the first. I did not enjoy the second movie at all.

Vince Vaughn in a serious role…just cannot happen. Yes a fourth entry has been talked about for some time but has yet to be made.
