Iron Man 3
By Gunner Glam
Opening today comes the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsly.
With the release of Marvel’s The Avengers in May 2012, the fictional universe has expanded to make room in sequels for Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Iron Man 3 is the sequel to Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in the franchise since the crossover film The Avengers. Shane Black directed a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce, which is loosely based on the “Extremis” story arc by Warren Ellis. Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as executive producer, along with Kevin Feige. Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as the title character, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Favreau reprising their roles as Pepper Potts, James Rhodes, and Happy Hogan, respectively. Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, and Ben Kingsley round out the film’s principal cast.
After the release of Iron Man 2 in May 2010, Favreau decided not to return as director, and in February 2011 Black was hired to rewrite and direct the film. Throughout April and May 2012, the film’s supporting cast was filled out, with Kingsley, Pearce, and Hall brought in to portray key roles. Filming began on May 23, 2012 in Wilmington, North Carolina. The film was shot primarily in North Carolina, with additional shooting in Florida, China and Los Angeles. The film’s visual effects were handled by a number of companies, including Scanline VFX, Digital Domain and Weta Digital.
Iron Man 3 was converted to 3D in post-production. The film premiered at the Grand Rex in Paris on April 14, 2013, and was internationally released on April 25, 2013 in IMAX and was released on May 3, 2013 in the United States.
The basic premise is as follows:
In a flashback, Tony Stark recalls a New Years Eve party in 1999 with scientist Maya Hansen, inventor of Extremis, an experimental regenerative treatment intended to allow its users to recover from crippling injuries. They are approached by crippled scientist Aldrich Killian, who offers them a place in his company Advanced Idea Mechanics, but Stark arrogantly rebuffs him.
In the present day during Christmas, some time after The Avengers, Stark’s experiences during that film are causing him great anxiety, and he has built several Iron Man suits, creating friction with his girlfriend Pepper Potts. Global tensions also run high in the wake a string of bombings by terrorist the Mandarin, which have left intelligence agencies bewildered by their lack of forensic evidence. When Stark Industries security chief Happy Hogan is caught in one such attack, Stark overcomes his stupor and issues a televised threat to the Mandarin, who responds by destroying Tony’s home with helicopter gunships. Pepper and Maya, who had come to warn Tony, survive the attack. Tony then finds himself in rural Tennessee after his artificial intelligence JARVIS follows a flight plan from Tony’s investigation into the Mandarin. Tony’s experimental armor lacks sufficient power to return to California, and the world believes him dead. Will Iron Man be able to save the day this time? Check it out in theaters now! =)

Happy Earth Day!
By Gunner Glam
Studio Brow supports Earth Day and encourages our friends to do their part in keeping the world clean and green.
Here are some ways you can do that =)
- Switch all your lightbulbs to CFLs (or at least switch a few).
- Switch one appliance to an energy efficient model (look for the “energy star” label).
- Stop using disposable bags. Order some reusable bags.
- Buy an inexpensive reusable water bottle, and stop buying plastic disposable bottles.
- Wash laundry in cold water instead of hot.
- Turn off lights when you leave the room.
- Don’t turn on lights at all for as long as you can—open your curtains and enjoy natural light.
- Drive the speed limit, and combine all your errands for the week in one trip.
- Support your local economy and shop at your farmer’s market.
- Pay your bills online. Not only is it greener, it’s a sanity saver.
Just to go over a few.
Enjoy April 22 this year!

Studio Brow Presents ILLUMILASH Eyelash Extensions
Studio Brow is here to not only give great customer care, but experience as well with each service we provide.
Are eyelash extensions something you’ve thought about?
In addition to eyebrow shaping services, such as waxing threading, we offer offers semi-permanent, synthetic lashes, coined Illumilash, to show off when going to the club, party or get together that can last up to two months with proper care and maintenance.
Studio Brow offers four degrees of Illumilash Eyelash Extensions; Natural, Lovely, Elegant and Gorgeous going on your individual style and fit.
We use a surgical grade, water-resistant adhesive to bond the extensions to your natural lashes, so you can shower, swim or exercise, worry-free.
Eyelash extensions will lengthen and thicken your lashes and also can eliminate the need for mascara.
Studio Brow’s services are performed by our own certified “Browstars” who have become licensed cosmetologists taught by experienced professionals to provide eyelash extensions.
Enhancements designed to add length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes, eyelash extensions may be compared to hair extensions for one’s eyelashes.
Some brief history of eyelash extensions: The Greek word for eyelash is “blepharis“. This word is often used as a root in biological terms. Kohl, a black powder (usually antimony sulfide or lead sulfide), has been worn as far back as the Bronze Age to protect and enhance lashes. In Ancient Egypt, it was used as well by the wealthy and the royal to protect their eyes from the sand, dust and bugs. Modern eye makeup includes mascara, eyeliner, eye putty and eye shadow to emphasize the eyes. The invention and use of eyelashes extensions began in 1916 when director D.W. Griffith was making his film, Intolerance. He wanted actress Seena Owen to have lashes “that brushed her cheeks, to make her eyes shine larger than life.” These first eyelash extensions were made of human hair woven through fine gauze by a local wig maker. They were then attached to Owen’s eyelashes.
Illumilash will enlighten your being by taking the beauty which is already there and bring out its shine and brighten your world.
A painless and relaxing procedure, you’ll be amazed with the results; they are virtually weightless and have an incomparable look and feel.
There is only one way to experience longer, thicker and beyond imaginable lashes and that is with ILLUMILASH!
Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to Like us on Facebook.com/Studiobrow. We’ll see you soon =)

Texas Chainsaw 3D
Studio Brow wants to share the scariest way to kick off 2013; seeing the latest addition in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
Background:
Released today, Texas Chainsaw 3D is 2013 American slasher film directed by John Luessenhop and written by Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus. The seventh film in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, it will be the first presented in 3-D. The film stars Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine Neverson, Tania Raymonde, Thom Barry, Paul Rae and Bill Moseley. The story centers on Heather, who discovers that she was adopted after learning of an inheritance from a long lost grandmother.
Story:
Picking up where the 1974 original film ends, the citizens of Newt, Texas decide to burn down the farm house of the Sawyer family for their role in aiding Jeb Sawyer, also known as Leatherface, in countless murders. The entire family is presumed dead with the exception of an infant, Heather, who is placed with an adoptive family. Twenty years later, Heather learns of her adoption when a lawyer informs her that her long lost grandmother has left her an inheritance. Heather and her friends travel through Texas to pick up her inheritance which, unknown to her, includes her cousin, Leatherface.
Production:
In January 2007, Platinum Dunes executives Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form stated that the company would not be producing a third film for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise following the 2003 remake and TCM: The Beginning.
By October 2009, it was announced that Twisted Pictures and Lions Gate Entertainment were attempting to purchase the rights to the franchise, with Twisted Pictures producing and Lions Gate distributing. According to Variety writer Michael Fleming, the plan was to create a contemporary film in 3-D, with Stephen Susco writing the script. The contract, with rights-holders Bob Kuhn and Kim Henkel, would be for multiple films.
In May of that year, Lions Gate announced that it would be partnering with Nu Image to produce the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and that John Luessenhop would direct the film.
Mazzocone has acted as producer, with production which began June 2011. Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus were brought in to write the script; Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop worked on rewrites and script polishing. Filming began during July 2011.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
By Gunner Glam
Studio Brow thought we would share with you the biggest motion picture release of the holiday season, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
A fantasy film directed by Peter Jackson, it is the first of a three-part film adaptation of the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, to be followed by The Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again, due for theatrical release in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
Set sixty years before The Lord of the Rings, the story is about the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is hired by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) to accompany thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on a quest across Middle-earth to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug the dragon. The film premiered in New Zealand on 28 November 2012 and was released on 14 December 2012 at over 4,000 theaters.
The film is written by Peter Jackson and his longtime collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens and Guillermo del Toro, who originally was chosen to direct the film before leaving the project in 2010.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2
By Gunner Glam
In theaters now, Studio Brow wants to share some info on the fourth and final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (commonly referred to as Breaking Dawn – Part 2) is a 2012 romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and based on the novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer.
The second part of a two-part film forms the fifth and final installment in the series The Twilight Saga, the film is the conclusion of the 2011 film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. All three main cast members, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, reprise their roles, along with Mackenzie Foy portraying Bella and Edward’s child, Renesmee.
Part 2 was released on November 16, 2012, and was released by Lionsgate in the United States, in consequence of the merger between Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment.
The story line is as follows:
After being brought back from near-death by Edward after childbirth, Bella begins her new life as a vampire and mother to their daughter, Renesmee. But when Irina, a member of the Denali coven, misidentifies Renesmee as a immortal child, a human infant who has been bitten and transformed into a vampire, to the Volturi, they set out to battle and destroy the Cullens for their betrayal.
In a final attempt to survive, the Cullens begin to gather foreign Vampire clans and nomads to stand and witness against the Volturi, including the Denali, the Amazonian, the Egyptian, the Irish and Romanian Covens, with European and American nomads. With their allies, the Cullens and the Wolf Pack stand to prove their innocence to the Volturi once and for all.
